Problem
Power is a marketplace that connects patients with promising trials, accelerating the rate of research and recruitment in a meaningful way. Patients apply to trials through our search experience, and through our tools for research clinics that are designed to customize trial eligibility requirements, make a match based on efficient yet nuanced methods of assessing fit.

Solution
The solution is a verification system that uses an AI agent to easily and swiftly walk the patient through nuanced details that save research clinics time and money in assessing eligibility fit for the trial.
Live Verification Screen
As soon as the application is submitted, we analyze their responses and identify any gaps that need to be addressed for a nurse or CRC to feel confident booking an eligible patient for a screening visit. We animate their responses and provide real-time feedback as we review the details, accompanied by a UI that communicates progress while verifying their application.
Preview of Promising Trial Matches
Once we review your application, we also present you with a list of well-matched trials based on your application that you can explore. We include the trial you originally applied for, as well as well-matched trials that you can explore after completing any verification needed.
Enabling Mic Access and Implementing Ghost-loading Elements
Once the patient continues, they initiate the AI-powered voice verification, and we trigger an opportunity to allow mic access to ensure your mic works and is enabled for a live verification call. We implemented a ghost-loading experience to ensure the experience is active and feels seamless between screens.
AI-Agent Experience and Verification Progress Controller
The verification progress controller features both expanded and collapsed states, enabling the patient to track their progress and gain transparency into which areas of their application require additional details or verification.
This controller is integrated with the AI-powered voice verification experience, which focuses on the sections needing further review. We highlight previous responses that may have been too vague or insufficient, helping the patient understand the level of detail required in their answers. As the AI agent reviews the outstanding details of the application, their questions are typed out in real time, allowing the patient to read and fully understand the required information.
Validation and End of Experience
Once the patient completes the verification experience, we repeat back the summary of their responses and give the patient the opportunity to correct or add any details. Instantly, we give the patient a preview of their potential eligibility* based on their answers.
*True eligibility can only be confirmed by a nurse of physician in their initial screening visit in-person
